Tendo Dojo sketch

Places in Ranma 1/2

Neko Hanten/Cat Cafe: The ramen restaurant that Shampoo and Cologne opened near the Tendo dojo.

Chardin Residence: Home to the rich and affluent Chardin family, this is also the training ground for Martial Arts Eating.

Doll Inn: A resort located in Okinawa named after a cursed doll who supposedly punishes those who are disrespectful in its presence. The Tendos, Saotomes, Ukyou, and Shampoo once came here on a vacation.

Furinkan High: The high school that Ranma, Akane, Kuno, Nabiki, Gosunkugi, and Ukyo attend. A place that, by now, is probably used to strange happenings and occurences.

Hibiki Residence: Ryouga's house. Unfortunately, the Hibikis are rarely home since they are all lost.

Jusenkyo: A ground of cursed springs, located in the Bayankala mountains of the Xinghai Province. Each spring has its own curse, and falling into a spring gives you a curse which turns you into whatever drowned there and cursed it. The effect is only temporarily reversible with hot water. Ranma, Genma, Shampoo, Mousse, and Ryoga all were cursed here.

Joketsuzoku: A village of Chinese Amazons, located near Jusenkyo. This is the village that Mousse, Shampoo, and Cologne come from, and where Ranma first defeated Shampoo.

Kolkhoz High: The high school where Mikado Sanzenin and Azusa Shiratori go to and are the skating champions.

Kuno Estate: The mansion of the Kuno family. Ranma once showed up here to destroy an incriminating doctored photo of him and Kodachi embracing.

Mount Phoenix: A mountain near the Jusenkyo springs where the Phoenix, a race of bird-like mean and women, live.

Ryugenzawa: A forest that contains unusually large animals, due to the magical "Water of Life" spring. Shinnosuke and his grandfather keep the animals restricted to this area. Akane was once lsot int his forest when she was young, but was rescued by Shinnosuke.

St. Hebereke/Bacchus High: The all-girls school where Kodachi Kuno goes, and where she is captain of the Rhythmic Gymnastics team that is always spying for her.

Tendo Dojo: The home of the Tendos, where Ranma and Genma are staying as guests. Is also the dojo for the Tendo Anything-Goes School of Maartial Arts, which Ranma and Akane are supposed to carry on. This particular place seems to suffer structural damage daily, from a number of sources, but somehow Soun finds a way to repair the dojo every time.

Dr. Tofu's Office: Dr. Tofu runs this clinic, where he treats people's injuries with his extensive shiatsu and martial arts training. Usually, Ranma may be found here, when Akane beats him up pretty badly. This is also the place where Akane and Ranma usually go if something unusual has happened and they want to know what it is (e.g. Akane's memory loss or Ranma's sensitivity to hot water, etc.)

Togenkyo Island: A floating, moving island that Toma rules.

Tunnel of Lost Love: This is a tunnel reputed to break up any couples that walk into and out of it together. Ukyou, along with Ryouga, tried to break up Ranma and Akane by sending them into the cave together.

Ucchan's: The okonomiyaki restaurant that Ukyo opened near the Tendo dojo.

Yobei's Island: An island shaped like a heron, on which Yobei's mansion resides. Onna-Ranma was washed up here after being knocked intot he ocean by Genma.

Things in Ranma 1/2

Battle Dougi: A magical dougi, which, when worn by the one of its choosing, increases the wearer's fighting potential to its maximum value. However, the dougi has an awareness of its own, and has quite a perverse attitude. Akane wore this dougi at one time.

Blazing Firestick: A magical staff whcih shoots out fire. Akane used this to help Ranma in the poisoned garden story.

Chiisuiton: This magical water locks whoever is splashed into their current form, cursed or uncursed. Herb used this to lock Ranma as a girl.

Cursed Bra: This was a special bra that contained the vengeful spirit of a woman who wanted revenge against men. Happosai acidentally stole the bra and released the spirit, which nearly defeated Ranma, Akane, Soun and Genma. The spirit was defeated, however, because of the disgust it felt by being glomped onto by Happosai.

Cursed Food: Found on a remote Pacific island, this food, when eaten, makes the victim act like a Hawaiian tourist. While on a school trip, all the males of Ranma's class ate the food, causing them to chase the females of the class around.

Cursed Doll: This doll contained a vengeful spirit which takes revenge on anyone who wrongs it. Ranma accidentally knocked the doll over, and as a result, the doll tried to get revenge on Ranma by possessing Akane and trying to murder him.

Cursed Spatula: An ordinary looking spatula, used for okonomiyaki making, which is actually imbued with a magic curse which prevents the user from taking it from his or her hands without use of force in order to remove it. Any attempts to remove the spatula by hand result in the spatula firing blasts at the offenders. One of Ukyou's fellow okonomiyaki chefs was afflicted with this spatula and had to have it removed by Ranma.

Dragon's Whisker: A magical whisker of a dragon, which, when eaten by males, increases the rate of their hair growth exponentially, and needs another Dragon's Whisker to hold in place. Ranma accidentally ate a Dragon's Whisker while in Jusenkyo, and needed another to hold his hair in place by a pigtail.

Exemption Coconut: A hollow coconut which contained an exemption notice from the school rules. This was the item that Akane, Ranma and the other students of Furinkan High had to acquire in order to get out of the rule made by the Principal about students' haircuts.

Fake Strength Noodles: Noodles that supposedly made you super strong. In actuality, however, these are merely bad tasting noodles. Cologne had mistakenly ordered low quality ramen noodles and had passed them off as super-strength food to sell it off.

Fighting Fish: A certain type of fish which puts out a continuous battle aura that is felt by the person who owns the fish. Hinako bought and used this fighting fish to stay in adult form, continuously sucking the continuous battle aura out of it while carrying it in a bowl.

Gale Force Fan: A magical fan which uses the power of wind and water. Akane used this to rescue Ranma from a deadly Garden.

Gekkaja: Another enchanted staff, the counter to the Kinjakan, which Ranma finds and uses.

Hair Growth Lotion: In an effort to cure Genma's baldness, Cologne once gave this lotion to Genma to make his hair grow out. At first, the lotion doesn't work, but later it is found that the lotion's effects work in a certain way - growing hair out when the person is angry, and making it fall out when the person is happy.

Instant Nannichuan packet: These powder like mixes come in packets, which, when added to water turn the water into a "Spring of Drowned Man", or Nannichuan. Shampoo tried to get a date out of Ranma by offering him a packet, which later turned out to be a one-time cure.

Invisible Glasses: These ancient Joketsuzoku glasses make who ever confronts the wearer in a fight grovel before them in submission. Mousse found these glasses and used them on Ranma several times in an attempt to get Shampoo.

Jusenkyo Map: A map of Jusenkyo, which was divided into parts by Ranma nd company to prevent their enemies from getting their hands on it. The map, when placed under Jusenkyo's underground hot water in its piping system, shows another, different map which leads the user past all the traps in the underground maze, to the source of Jusenkyo.

Kaisufuu: The magical water which acts as a counterpart/cure to the Chiisuiton (see above). Ranma and Herb competed to find this.

Kinjakan: A magical staff that Saffron uses against his opponents.

Koi Fishing Rod: A magical fishing rod which, when thrown by someone, makes whoever is caught by its hook to fall in love with the caster. Ryouga tried to use this to get Akane, but instead accidentally hooked Onna-Ranma.

Legendary Umbrella: An unusual umbrella which makes two people of the opposite sex who are under it fall in love with each other. This umbrella was found at Furinkan one day and was fought over by various people.

Love pills (Moment, Day, Life): These pills, when taken, make the user fall in love witht he first person of the opposite sex they see. Each of the three pills has a certain tiem duration - one lasts a few moments, one a day, and one a lifetime. Ranma accidentally took the Moment pill and fell for Cologne. More seriously, though, was the fact that Akane accidentally swallowed the lifetime pill and had to be blindfolded so she wouldn't see any men. The ordeal fianlly ended when Ranma, who nearly drowned Akane in an attempt to shield her from seeing any men, made Akane cough the pill up.

Magic Compact: This mini mirror is a magic mirror which pulls whoever looks into it into the space of the compact, which is a very small, spherical world. Turning over the compact and hitting the back of it empties out whoever or whatever is trapped in it. Ranma and the others tried to use this to catch the Onna-Ranma copy, created by the Magic Copying Mirror (see below).

Magic Copying Mirror: This mirror is infused with the spirit of a young lady who started in it a lot, never leaving the house, and pining for true love, which she never got. When she died, her essence went into the mirror, making it so that whoever looked into the mirror would have a copy of them step out of the mirror. Additionally, the mirror would place the urge on the copy, to find true love - thus the copy would not have the original's personality. Onna-Ranma accidentally looked into this mirror, making it turn out a copy of Ranma's female side.

Magic Mirror: A mirror which, if a tear falls on it, transports the owner of the tear to the memory most fixated in his/her mind. Happosai was transported in this manner to his past.

Magic Aging Mushrooms: Depending on the length in centimeters of the mushroom taken, you can either be made into an adult or reduced to the size of a child. The only way to reverse the effect is to cook the mushrooms and then consume them. Ryouga and Ranma accidentally consumed some of these mushrooms and were temporarily turned into little children.

Magic Mushrooms: When taken, makes the user susceptible to commands by hypnosis. Ranma was fed these by Shampoo, but a mistake during the hypnosis made Ranma glomp onto the closest person he is at when someone sneezed.

Magic Scroll: The people who carry the two halves of this scroll are destined to be married, according to legend, since the scroll contains the supposed "Ultimate Technique". Kirin possessed the first half - the other half was in the possession of a Chinese girl named Lychee, until she threw it at Happosai and it landed in Akane's hands. Of course, it happened that Kirin showed up for his "bride" at that very moment, and Akane was kidnapped, forcing the rest of the cast to go after her.

Magic Soap: When washed with this soap, the user cannot be affected by their Jusenkyo curses for a temporary period. Shampoo tried to use this to get to Ranma.

Magic Urns (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow) (NOTE: Anime only.): These urns, when gathered in a certain place at a certain time, can create a "Nannichuan", or "Spring of Drowned Man". The urns were gathered by Ranma and co., but the Nannichuan was found to be not in order.

Maomohrin Bell Set: A set of two bells - one large, one small. According to Shampoo, who gives the large bell to Ranma, whichever couple has the bell set between them are destined for one another. However, this is not true - the large bell actually harbors the spirit of the Bake-Neko, or Ghost Cat, and whoever has the small bell is destined to become the Ghost Cat's bride.

Mongoose Whistle: A whistle made from a "horned mongoose", which is supposedly the mortal enemy to the eight-headed Orochi dragon. Akane used this to put the Orochi back to sleep.

Orochi Moss: A magic moss which grows on the eight-headed Orochi dragon, and which is also the main component for creating the Water of Life. Akane had to get this moss to save a dying Shinnosuke.

Paper Mind Control Dolls: These paper dolls, when placed by the user on omeone's back, will make the target do whatever the user tells them to do. Gosunkugi acquired these and attempted to get Akane with them.

Phoenix Egg: The Egg of the legendary phoenix, which hatches when placed on someone's head. The phoenix then imprints itself onto the first person it sees each day, making him/her its mortal enemy. Kunou, unfortunately, hatached this egg on his head, and both Ranma and Akane were targeted by the bird.

Phoenix Pill: The antidote to the "Full Body Cat-Tongue" pressure point, which makes the target highly sensitive to heat. Ranma had to get this from Cologne since he couldn't change back into a man as a result of the "Full-Body Cat Tongue".

Power Armor: A mechanical suit which amplifies the user's strength - however, there are two drawbacks. You can't move too well while in the suit, and the suit also possesses a countdown timer that makes the suit explode unless the wearer strikes his/her most powerful enemy. Gosukugi tried to use this to beat Ranma.

Reversal Jewel: A magical broach which, when worn a certain way, may eitehr enhance or completely change a person's romantic feelings. Shampoo wore this upside down, thereby reversing her love feelings for a puzzled Ranma.

Secret Speed Elixir (NOTE: Anime-only): This elixir, when taken, is supposed to increase the ability and speed of the user a hundred-fold. Happosai promised to give this to Kunou after he proved himself worthy to train under him. However, the elixir turned out to be a mixture which, among other things, included Happosai's fingernail dirt.

Secret Student Submission Pill: A pill, which when taken, is suppposed to make the target act obediently to the user. Happosai attempted to use this on Ranma, only to have it not work properly.

Shampoo formula #411: The herbal Shampoo used in the "Xi Fang Xiang Gao" Shiatsu technique, which manipulates memory. Shampoo used this shampoo on Akane to try to make her forget Ranma.

Shampoo formula #911: The herbal Shampoo that must be used to counter the Shiatsu memory loss technique. Ranma tried to get this shampoo from Shampoo in order to restore Akane's memory.

Super Soba Noodles: These noodles, when eaten, increase the eater's strengthexponentially. Akane accidentally ate these noodles and became super-strong. However, she was unaware of the side effect of the Super Soba, which was a growth of whiskers.

Togenkyo Cursed Spring: The spring from which the island of Togenkyo gets their water, but which was cursed, turning all who drank of it into a man. Ranma had to destroy the spring because he and Akane were about to fall into it.

Umi-sen-ken scroll: A scroll containing one-half of a set of techniques created by Genma. The Umi-sen-ken techniques are designed to emulate a "quiet" thief's moves.

Water of Life spring: A spring located in Ryugenzawa which has magical healing properties, which is responsible for the size of the animals in the Ryugenzawa area and Shinnosuke's life being extended.

Woman Repellant: A special mixture of herbs put into a packet which, when warmed by human flesh, becomes a "tear gas" that repels only women. Ranma used this on Happosai in an attempt to get revenge on him, but later it backfired, and Ranma ended up almost losing the fight because of it.

Yami-sen-ken scroll: A scroll containing one-half of a set of techniques created by Genma. The Yami-sen-ken techniques are designed to emulate a "noisy" thief's moves.
